Free backpack, school supplies giveaway Saturday

School supplies putting a squeeze on your pocketbook? One Lebanon business will give out more than 200 backpacks with school supplies Saturday.
The give-away takes place from noon to 2 p.m. at The Cellular Connection store, 1248 Columbus Ave., Lebanon. Backpacks will be distributed on a first-come basis while supplies last.
The event is part of the School Rock promotion sponsored by the Verizon wireless retailer. The company is donating more than 60,000 backpacks with school supplies to families across the nation.
