Public hearing on Morrow comprehensive plan is Nov. 21

Morrow residents may give their input on an update to the village’s comprehensive plan during a public hearing on Nov. 21.

The hearing will be conducted by the Warren County Regional Planning Commission. It begins at 6:30 p.m., at the morrow municipal building, 150 E. Pike St.

The plan focuses on economic development, downtown revitalization, neighborhoods, quality of life and infrastructure.

Key considerations include the historic downtown, regional bike trails, impact of the floodplain much of the village lies in, an aging population, the natural environment, and history.

The last plan was completed and approved in 1979.

The land use plan has been under development for the past year by the village and the Warren County Regional Planning Commission.

Comments and results from a community survey done earlier this year have been incorporated into the draft.

Following the public hearing, the commission is expected to vote on a recommendation that would be forward to Morrow village council for consideration and possible adoption at its Dec. 10 meeting.
