Positive patient feedback leads to Mercy Health’s latest award

Mercy Health, which provides quality care with compassion in your neighborhood through its network of care, announces that positive patient feedback has secured a prestigious award for the outpatient endoscopy center at Mercy Health – Fairfield Hospital.

Mercy Health – Fairfield Outpatient Endoscopy Center was one of only nine endoscopy centers nationally to win the 2012/2013 National APEX Quality Award from Voyance, an organization that helps healthcare organizations optimize patient care and service, continually improve efficiency and process, achieve full compliance and access information necessary to plan for the future.

The APEX Quality Award distinguishes the outpatient endoscopy center as one of Voyance’s highest performing healthcare entities in the endoscopy category. Winners are determined solely on patient feedback.

“Recognition is not subjective but earned,” said Paul Faraclas, Voyance’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “The APEX Quality Award continues to be a healthcare performance differentiator because it restricts criteria to actual care, clinical communication, risk mitigation and patient safety measures. It is clear that the APEX Quality Award winners demonstrate a passion to exceed patient expectations that translate into their everyday actions and priorities.”

“We know that without our patients, we wouldn’t be here,” said Thomas Urban, North Market Leader and President, Mercy Health. “Providing the highest quality care with compassion is what we strive to do daily, since that care drives patient satisfaction. On behalf of the entire team at the Fairfield Outpatient Endoscopy Center, I thank our patients for their vote of confidence in the work that we do.”

Mercy Health – Fairfield Outpatient Endoscopy Center is located on the campus of Mercy Health – Fairfield Hospital at 3000 Mack Road, Fairfield, Ohio 45014. The center provides a variety of therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, including colonoscopy, esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD), EGD dilatation, esophageal manometry and 24-hour impedance studies.
