Lebanon Theatre Co. opens season with Over the River & Through the Woods

Over the River and Through the Woods is the first show for the Lebanon Theatre Company’s 2013-14 season.

The Joe DiPietro comedy centers on Nick, a single, Italian-American man who lives in New Jersey. When his parents retire and move to Florida, Nick remains in New Jersey and sees both sets of his grandparents every Sunday.

When Nick is offered a marketing executive position in Seattle – his dream job – his grandparents begin a campaign to keep him in town.

Ryan McAndrews takes on the role of Nicholas. He is joined by Eiora Kirk as Caitlin; Marilyn Carter and Wayne Shepard, as Nunzio and Emma; along with Jay Fultz and Georgia Dunn, as Frank and Aida.

Tickets are available for the 8 p.m. performances on Sept. 14, 20-21; and the 2 p.m. performances on Sept. 15 and 22. The Sept. 13 opening night performance is sold old.

The show will be staged at the Mechanic Street Playhouse, 10 S. Mechanic St., in Lebanon. It is under the direction of Paula Whitaker.

Tickets are $18 each.
